About Ord
A small town rewriting its story.
Nestled along the banks of the North Loup River and the edge of the Sandhills, Ord finds balance between a thriving business community, outdoor recreational activities, and a family-friendly place to live. Stroll through the picturesque downtown to visit historic buildings, shop at newly-opened businesses, or enjoy the ample green spaces. If you're looking for the economic heartbeat of Valley County, Ord is the place. If you're looking for outdoor adventures, Ord is the place. Welcome to where rural living is being rewritten as more than a place to settle, but a place to celebrate.
