With over 15 years of experience as a creative storyteller, Russell Shaffer has honed his craft by creating stories for various media outlets, including magazines, news sources, websites, and academics. His career has been defined by a commitment to continual development and professional improvement. He considers himself not only a writer, but a multimedia communicator, incorporating photos, videos, and graphic design to enhance the impact of his narratives. He currently uses his skills to share stories about how Nebraska's communities are strengthening their cultures and their residents through working with Rural Prosperity Nebraska Extension educators and engaging with its programs.
